The appropriate thing to do would be to convert the existing redirect, since there are no other notable Malia Obamas. While I think that there will be scope for an article soon, I don't see anything in your fork that isn't or can't be mentioned in the existing topic for the time being. The article Malia Obama (First Daughter) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I agree with C.Fred, at this time her only significance is she's the President's daughter.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
