::::::When people hoist up BLM signs at all sorts of events, that dilutes the entire message and they have become genericized as the protesters pop up at every opportune with premade/printed signs, similar to Revcom. Most recently during the Scout Schultz shooting and the Gas scare following Hurricane Harvey when gas prices shot up from $2.09 to $2.79 and protesters were marching back and forth in front of the various gas stations. Never waste an opportunity. Luckily I filled up before it hit along with a couple of jerry cans. Basically just because a BLM sign shows up does not make it relevant in every article. police tweets

Saw CNN post one of these from https://twitter.com/SLMPD it may be useful to archive and cite them for "according to" statements. So far I see reports about two cops hospitalized from thrown bricks. Tear gas deployed. Windows broken. ScratchMarshall (talk) 04:10, 16 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Black Lives Matter theme at bottom of page

Why does the "Black Lives Matter" ("BLM") theme box, with links, appear at the bottom of this Wiki article? There is no reference to BLM in the article, and BLM does not appear in the list of article Categories.

The presence of the BLM theme box strikes me as a political comment, and therefore violates Wikipedia's required "Neutral Point of View". Brad (talk) 02:59, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I just Googled the guy's name and "black lives matter" [1] and I see various news results mentioning both of them together. So I suppose it fits. Dream Focus 04:24, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That is more of a forced pairing into Google search. Heyyouoverthere (talk) 13:30, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You can click the news results and read them. Dream Focus 23:33, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Is it really that much of a stretch to think that Black Lives Matter would protest the acquittal of a police shooting case involving a black guy? The recent "White Allies March" for white supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement should just be further evidence of this. FallingGravity 08:16, 22 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
When people hoist up BLM signs at all sorts of events, that dilutes the entire message and they have become genericized as the protesters pop up at every opportune with premade/printed signs, similar to Revcom.
