"Vampires Will Never Hurt You" was the second single off of New Jersey rock band My Chemical Romance's 2002 debut album "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love". This song in particular is regarded as a classic by many fans.
Music Video
The music video consists of the band tightly packed into a room where they play their instruments in very little color and they look like vampires. The room was painted by Gerard Way (lead vocals) and Frank Iero (guitar). Shortly after they got unintentionally high from the fumes, the two of them became sick.
Meaning
The meaning of the song's lyrics was explained by the band as a metaphoric critique to the society. The "vampires" represent the greedy and ambitious human beings.
