If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."

• To list a technical request: the Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:

  {{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=edit summary for the move}}

  This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.
• If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
• If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

Requests to revert undiscussed moves

• Waclaw Struszynski (currently a redirect to Wacław Struszyński) → Wacław Struszyński (move · discuss) – this article was created on August 28, 2008 under the title Wacław Struszyński and remained under that title for 9 years and 3 months until it was moved without a discussion to Waclaw Struszynski on November 8, 2017. Subject was an ethnic Pole born in Tsarist Russia, lived in Poland from 1916 to 1939 and worked for an agency of the Polish government. If anyone has reasons why his name should not be indicated in Polish, such reasons should be submitted at WP:RM, not via a unilateral move. If the amount of time at a given name is decisive, then Roman is right and it should be moved back. I would have thought that the reasons given here previously trump that. If not, then I need to go to WP:RM, apparently, but we're already there, so what exactly does that mean? Just place it again but in a different section? Mathglot (talk) 08:16, 13 January 2018 (UTC)

An RM would be certainly welcome, however the request for the return to original form is still active, because in the event of a no consensus outcome, the original title would remain unchanged. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 08:58, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
