Hi Jim, the [[Transnational Institute]] page was deleted recently. The reason mentioned was G11. Unambiguous advertising or promotion. The article contained just a short, objective summary of the institute's history, an overview of its recent work, and some notable names that have worked at the Transnational Institute.

== Google Course Builder ==

Hey Jimfbleak, I saw you deleted the Google Course Builder page I created. It was not advertising. I am not affiliated to Google in any way. I believe the information was interesting, but I cannot review it now, nor contest it as it was marked for Speedy Deletion and I didn't get time to react. Can I still react? The article had been on Wikipedia for quite some time and I don't see why Speedy Deletion was necessary.

ERS Biometrics returns

Noticed on my watchlist that you deleted and salted ERS Biometrics. Its back under a shiney new name at ERS biometrics, created by User:Ofentsengobeni as before.--SamHolt6 (talk) 14:03, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

SamHolt6, thanks. Deleted, salted, "only warning" message Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:16, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jimfbleak! Apologies for barging into your talk page like this (I'm somewhat new here).
I noticed you deleted the Jerusalem Center for Women page many years ago. I was going to try putting it together as part of a school project, but I can understand that the original article was deleted for a reason.
Seeing as how you are an administrator and the one responsible for its deletion, I was wondering if I could still attempt to create the page? In addition, do you know the specific details as to why it was deleted in the first place? Promotion seems to be the cause, but I'd just like to be sure. Apologies if this question is posted in the wrong area. Thanks! NoPet (talk) 17:03, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Replied in detail on user talk page Jimfbleak - talk to me? 18:11, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! Just had one more question. I've found a source that looks like it may contain lot of information I need, especially information relevant to membership and group structure. The only problem is that this source is a master's thesis. It does appear to have an association with a university, though its publication seems to be solely on the university website. The thesis is also copyrighted, though it does mention that personal use is acceptable. Is it alright to include a source such as this? Thanks! NoPet (talk) 18:40, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Replied on user talk page, see Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources#Scholarship Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:05, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jimfbleak! Why did you delete the page? No advertising posted in it, only natural point of view. Please help me to recover it. Well, I don't know what happened in 2015 and I guess it was a reason to delete it back then but does it mean it should be deleted again because of that? Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kolmoly (talkcontribs) 19:14, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Replied on user talk page, unsourced promo, likely COI editor Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:10, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Jim, thanks for the rapid deletion. Please read the talk page, this user should be blocked for sockpuppetry. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 12:56, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oiyarbepsy, thanks. I thought it looked familiar, blocked as sock puppet now Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:00, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Kushal Nahata Deletion

Hi Jimfbleak! I am new to Wikipedia and want to give more contribution here with the help of seniors like you on wikipedia. Please check the page of Kushal Nahata again. I am sharing only the news about Kushal Nahata. No advertising posted in it, only neutral point of view and links are mentioned in which there are no Do-Follow links also. Please help me to recover it. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by theamitkumarsharma (talkcontribs) 19:14, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Replied on user talk page. Paid editor, poorly sourced and promotional, previously deleted via a deletion discussion Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:21, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy keep of Pedro Zaragoza

I updated Pedro Zaragoza, and I think you might want to reconsider the Afd. The previous text was a copyright violation. There's a lot of RS on Zaragoza. I didn't even attempt with the Spanish language sources. Cheers, --Meanderingbartender (talk) 14:58, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Meanderingbartender, fair enough, closed as speedy keep Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:45, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Tonga Tourism

Hi Jim, I was wondering if you would be willing to restore the article Tonga Tourism and transfer it to User:Kheimuli/sandbox. He's a student and I'm willing to work with him to get the article up to snuff. If all else fails I can work with him on creating a tourism subsection under the economy section. The tourism business in Tonga is still small, but growing enough that it could warrant a subsection. The promotional tone was definitely unintentional, but I've warned him about buzz words, hotlinks, and using stuff like TripAdvisor as a source. Thanks for reading this! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 21:29, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Shalor (Wiki Ed), OK, I'll do that shortly. There shouldn't be any url links in the text, and do-it-yourself formats for headings and wikilinks are also discouraged Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:49, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Justin A. Watkins

Hello Jim, Happy Easter. Could you look at the article Justin A. Watkins? I removed the only two refs as they were YouTube links and then placed a BLP Prod on the article as it has no other sources. When I went to the talk page of the editor who created the article, I can see that the same article title was nominated for speedy deletion in May 2017. Should this be a CSD again (A7)? Loopy30 (talk) 00:57, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Loopy30 thanks. Just Facebook-type gossip, no evidence of notability, no proper refs. Deleted again with pointers in the edit summary no independent sources, no evidence of notability, vanity page, see WP:YFA and WP:RS as well as WP:Notability (people) Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:11, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hey :D

I would like to know why the page 'CapitalVia' was deleted. Your feedback would help us make the required changes, so that a proper contribution can be done :D — Preceding unsigned comment added by Muskan1017 (talkcontribs) 08:55, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am not paid by the school or attached to it in any way. Im learning to write/edit Wikipedia pages and I was just looking for schools of architecture in New York that could use a wikipedia page. CCNY has a page for the engineering school so I felt it would be important for the school of Architecture to have a page too. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Christine.phd (talkcontribs) 14:52, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Christine.phd, you can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. Thank you for declaration above. It doesn't change the fact that your article has no independent verifiable sources at all, and no in-line citations of any kind. You just give a list at the bottom of web pages associated with the school, which are pointless since they are neither suitable for, or used as, in-line citations. Without references, the school can't establish notability independent of the CCNY; whether you think it should have an article is immaterial, it must be written in accordance with our guidelines. Read all the advice I've given you on your talk page , and look at the City College of New York article, it's not great, but at least most of it is referenced Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:17, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Undelete request for Transnational Institute
