Gianni Mancini, professionally known as Gianni Blu, is a Chicago-based American DJ, producer, and composer. Blu's style is a mixture of EDM, house, and hip hop.

Early life

Gianni Mancini was born to Italian and Haitian parents in Chicago, Illinois. He began playing instruments at an early age and began producing music while attending Whitney Young Magnet High School[2].

Career

Gianni Blu's career started in the Chicago rap/drill scene, but after a short time, his style changed to EDM. In 2015 he released his song "Feeling It" which was supported by Martin Garrix and charted on the Spotify US & Global Viral Charts[3]. At the beginning of 2017, Blu released, "Thinking About You," which features the vocalist Sansa, who is known for her work with Kaskade, and was promoted by Mixmag[4] and Dancing Astronaut[5]. His second release of 2017, "All I Wanna Do," was released on Spinnin' Records[1]. During the summer, he performed at the Favella Music Fest in Haiti, alongside other peformers such as Thomas Gold, Serani, and Jowell & Randy[6]. He ended off 2017 with the release of his song "Right Amount of Wrong."[7] In February of 2018, he released his biggest hit to date, "Tell Me What It Feels Like," ft. Mingue[8], which as of April 2018 had reached over 600,000 views in YouTube[9].
