Can someone please tell me who decides on the Australian contestant and on what basis, there are more talented Australian singers out there than just a bunch of former Aus idol winners |

Johnny Logan and other Australian participants
I think it would be appropriate to mention Australians taking part under banners of other countries in Eurovision throughout Eurovision history. Very notably Johnny Logan, an Australian born in Frankston, Victoria, Australia, has won for Ireland multiple times. This is significant. There may be others as well. A case in point is this year's participant, the Australian Mary-Jean O'Doherty Basmadjian, an Australian opera singer part of Armenian entrant Genealogy (band). werldwayd (talk) 12:45, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
- I agree. Wasn't Gina G Australian as well? Hshook (talk) 12:52, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
