I was pleasantly surprised when I looked at Category:Articles to be merged after an Articles for deletion discussion to see it had been reduced to less than 30. I see you are responsible for this. Merges are one of the more difficult results of a deletion discussion to implement as they have a direct impact on other articles. It does require some skill to merge the material in without unbalancing or reducing the quality of the target article. I have looked at a few of the merges you have done and it appears like you have mostly just copied the information directly across. In some cases that is acceptable, but in my experience it often requires more finesse than that. If it was as simple as just copying across the info then it would not need a special backlog category for editors to go through. Anyway I was discussing this with another editor a while ago and left this comment on their talk page which might contain some useful advice if you intend to continue merges. I have only looked at a couple of your merges so if I have got this wrong and most are not just copied across then you can ignore this.
