The way I heard it, it had nothing to do with his music, but with the fact that the music industry became increasingly video-oriented throughout the 80s, and people just didn't wanna see a guy basically looking like Jack Black. --46.93.158.170 (talk) 02:45, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

Yacht Rock

Deleted Yacht Rock reference in the introduction. Unfunny, irrelevant. Dooodle (talk) 22:04, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's fine that you deleted that, but don't pretend it wasn't funny. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.49.44.154 (talk) 20:46, 19 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Past roadie?

I thought I remembered hearing that Cross had once worked as a roadie for another major act before his own singing career took off. If anyone can verify and get that info in, it would be interesting I'd think. I *thought* it was for Meatloaf...I seem to remember it being for an act that was musically a lot "edgier" than Cross was. GBrady (talk) 19:07, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
