Shweta Singh[1][2](d/o Dinesh Singh and Kamla Singh, born on 24th July 1984) is a Public Figure and Social Influencer[3] who was crowned Haute Monde Mrs India Worldwide North[4][5][6] as well as Mrs India Worldwide Fashion Icon, 2018[7][8][9] and is currently Brand Ambassador for “Village Adoption Program”, under “Swacchta Initiative”[10], constituted by IIT Delhi Alumni Association[11].

Early Life and Education

Born in Mumbai, did her initial schooling till 3rd standard from St. Xavier’s High School, Borivali East[12]. Thereafter she migrated to Uttar Pradesh[13]. Grew up in rural village Katauna, Uttar Pradesh; she was brought up by a single mother and dedicates all her success to the farsightedness of her mother. Her early education demanded a 50 kilometer round trip to St. Mary's School, Bhadohi[14]. Later, she pursued B.Com at Sunbeam Women's College[15]. She actively participated in the National Cadet Corps and was adjudged Best Cadet at the Annual Training Camp held at Lucknow in 2004 and presented the Governor's Gold Medal Award by Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Sh. T.V. Rajeswar[16]. She was part of the team from 7th UP Air Squadron, NCC[17], BHU, which bagged the Overall Flying Trophy at the Inter Air Squadron Competition during the Pre Vayu Sainink Camp - I held under the auspices of 7th UP Battallion, NCC, BHU in 2004. As Cadet Warrant Officer, Air Squadron , NCC, she won the Best Girl Pilot Medal in a tough competition among 45 girl cadets from all over the country at the All India Vayu Sainik Camp (AIVSC) held at Bangalore in 2004. She is the first girl cadet from Uttar Pradesh to win the award. Her feat was featured in various

regional and national newspapers. She represented her NCC Directorate at the Annual NCC Republic Day Camp and the Prime Minister's Rally. She was also a part of the Republic Day Marching Contingent[18] at New Delhi in 2005 and had the honour to present the customary bouquet to the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Mr. Manmohan Singh[19]. She has multiple awards in sports and academics to her credit. She is currently married to Gaurav Menon, a British Citizen, an entrepreneur, and shuttles between New Delhi and London.

Social Initiatives

Shweta Singh is Campaign Coordinator for Water and Solid Waste Sanitation Work in Rural Area as Brand Ambassador for IIT Delhi since July 2018.

Pioneering the ‘Swachhta’ initiative for each villages, the clearly defined objectives of the campaign are:

  1. Sewage Management and Access to Clean Water Supplies
  2. Planting of Trees
  3. Construction of Library and knowledge resource for children and adult
  4. Education with implementation of remotely delivered online teaching services.
  5. Female Sanitation Awareness

As a volunteer, her role involves coordinating events, fund raising, organising and managing delivery and completion of the said targets in each village.
