Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

Here are some links to pages you may find useful:

You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:

Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a certain number of days and made a certain number of edits.

If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (80.189.156.156) is used to identify you instead.

I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).

Happy editing! Rubbish computer (Talk: Contribs) 01:23, 26 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have been blocked without warning for no apparent reason. I see that many of my recent edits have been undone. This has resulted in extremely substandard material that I had fixed being restored to the encyclopaedia - for example, basic grammar errors, formatting errors, use of colloquialisms etc etc. This is highly destructive and unfathomably pointless. I would like to be unblocked so that I can continue to uncontroversially improve articles, and all my edits that have been undone should be reinstated. 80.189.156.156 (talk) 11:19, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You have been banned from editing Wikipedia by the community, meaning your edits are not allowed to stand. If you are not the banned user, which seems unlikely, you will need to explain this. 331dot (talk) 11:23, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the unblock template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I am not banned. What is it that I need to explain? Check my edits - tell me which ones harmed the encyclopaedia? And tell me what the point is in undoing uncontroversial improvements to make articles worse? Even if I had been banned, don't you think that putting grammar errors back into article is insane? How does it help the encyclopaedia? 80.189.156.156 (talk) 11:27, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You have not explained your overlap with Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/Best known for IP. Yamla (talk) 11:34, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Someone else will review this, but if you are banned, your edits are not allowed to stand, as allowing them would defeat the purpose of the ban. If you want your valid edits to stand, you need to request to have the ban lifted. 331dot (talk) 11:28, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am not banned. Why would you think I am? Which of my edits did you think harmed the encyclopaedia? And you said "you will need to explain this" - I asked, what is it that I need to explain? You haven't said.
And are you arguing that putting grammar errors into articles helps the encyclopaedia? 80.189.156.156 (talk) 11:31, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

80.189.156.156 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I do not know what this overlap is. Which of my edits harmed the encyclopaedia? 80.189.156.156 (talk) 11:36, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notes:

 • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
 • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

Your edits are not the issue, who you are is. If you want your valid edits to stand, you need to either explain your overlap with the banned user, or request to be unbanned. If you are not prepared to do either of those things, there is no need for further discussion and your ability to edit this page may be removed if you persist. 331dot (talk) 11:38, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
