Viktor Pikaizen not included in list of Oistrakh students

On almost every biography site this is mentioned (and well known), and I have also found some references in the Oistrakh book:

1. Page 119 (https://books.google.com/books?id=rFYZAQAAIAAJ&focus=searchwithinvolume&q=Viktor): "Oistrakh and students Valari klimov, Viktor Pikeisen, Igor"

2. 'Records in Review' page 68: '...golden tone that recalls both Oistrakh, and Viktor Pikaizen, another Oistrakh pupil.'

If anybody has the books they can probably find more references but clearly there is a load of evidence that he is a student of Oistrakh. Samuel-chapkovski (talk) 13:29, 29 April 2018 (UTC)

error in dates

"In 1936 Oistrakh won second prize at the Wieniawski Competition, losing to the 15-year-old Ginette Neveu." wikipdia

simply not possible if: August 11, 1919 b.Ginette Neveu, 1934 Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition, David Oistrakh 2nd / dates are incorrect somewhere. ercord needs to be cross-checked for accuracy see the wikipedia article for Neveu

In the "During WWII" paragraph it says he was awarded the Stalin Prize in 1942, but then in "Distinctions" it says 1943. Which is it?

All right. Whoever you are. I have deleted your plagiarist paragraph called "Oistrakh's Controversy" for at least the 3rd time. Another person removed it several times as well. I've told you my reasons why I did in the previous talk comments. But then again, you deleted them and another user's as well which is against Wikipedia policy. We are very tired of having to clean up after you. You want this paragraph in, the charges have to be also found in scholarly texts that can be used as sources. The speculatory account by Erick Friedman is not enough to instate this paragraph in as there are no American or Soviet documents to back it up. Let alone any accounts from Oistrakh or Heifetz's colleagues or superiors. So here's the deal. If you instate the paragraph in again before the Wikipedia Administrators block you and/or put protection on both the Heifetz and Oistrakh articles, you better list your reasons why on this talk page. -Nope, it was dedicated to Oistrakh. I have a copy and am finishing it up. I've looked at it enough times to say that it clearly has printed that it was dedicated to Oistrakh. He also wrote a cadenza for it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.211.143.250 (talk) 04:09, 29 September 2011 (UTC)

Personally, I trust the site, and it contains lots of great information.
