I have added the section on Railfuture's campaign for a National Railcard
Gold Card
It's not at all clear from this section what the current status of the Gold Card is: if it has been withdrawn, then no date has been given, and if it is still in operation then this is not mentioned. Please fix this. 86.132.137.23 23:29, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- The card is still available with the same range of discounts/concessions as it had originally; I have edited the text to make this clearer. Hassocks5489 07:45, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Privilege Tickets
The section 'Privilege Tickets' is completely unsourced and, I am told by a train driver, inaccurate. Unless someone can provide a source for this information, it should be removed. 84.71.28.57 (talk) 05:14, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- I have no knowledge about the second part of that paragraph (reciprocal arrangements with other European rail networks) and cannot provide any refs. For the first section (PRIV/CHPRV), this info is given in the National Fares Manuals: unfortunately the most recent I have available to me at the moment is the Winter 1996 edition, but as far as I know the discount percentages have not changed. The endorsements on tickets (PRIV and CHPRV) have certainly not changed. PRAAA has not been used for many years, though. Pending a better source, I will add the NFM for now. Is is possible to buy any of the railcards with a start date in the future?

Quite a lot of the "local" railcards and other discounts are missing
A number of the rail company franchises offer their own concessionary railcards, e.g. greater Anglia Club 50 for over 50 year olds.
This article doesn't list these, and also I think a number of the other local railcards are missing.
