I happened to stumble on this article from 1983 that said he was denied custody of his daughter for having a pornography collection including young girls, and his daughter accused him of molesting her and a friend. Not sure if that should be included in this article: |

please clarify if the song "honey' was about a suicide?
No. If you Listen, she is : "Crying needlessly in the middle of the day." She got bad news from her doctor. Cancer.65.129.250.231 (talk) 20:33, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
- I don't think it's necessarily about a suicide, but I do think it's about his wife who died. It's not clear whether she died from a disease of some sort (like cancer), or from something self-inflicted, but there really isn't much of an indication to sway toward either. Mike H. - I'd say the line "one day when I was not at home... the angels came," even allowing for poetic license, means she died of natural causes - and suddenly. Consistent with the line "I caught her crying needlessly in the middle of the day" is that she had been notified she had something like a heart deformity that could cause sudden death at any time, and kept it from her man. But other scenarios are possible.
- Was her body dumped off the Tallahachee bridge?72.198.206.139 07:31, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
"It topped the Hot 100 for five weeks, reached No. 2 in the UK Singles Chart on two separate occasions (1968 and 1975),[6] and was a No. 1 single in Australia, selling in excess of one million copies there." needs to be edited. I'm assuming that the sales figures are for the UK, as no single has sold a million copies in Australia. Mikenlesley (talk) 06:15, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
Infobox
Added Infobox, stuff... I see no info that his name is really 'Robert Goldsborough', so I deleted that. Smarkflea (talk) 05:36, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Nationality of his parents
For some reason, I remember Mr Goldsboro being of asian descent. Am I wrong?166.82.142.240 (talk) 13:12, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, you're wrong. —12.72.71.6 (talk) 14:06, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Why no UK chart statistics included in the Albums & Singles Discography section?
Please could you possibly include the UK chart statistics for Bobby Goldsboro in the Albums & Singles Discography section. To assist, the following singles charted for him in the UK Singles Charts:
"Honey" - Apr 1968 (no.2); "Summer (The First Time)" - Aug 1973 (no.9); "Hello Summertime" - Aug 1974 (no.14); "Honey" - (re-issue) Mar 1975 no.(2).
Many thanks. :) (Butdavid (talk) 23:54, 21 March 2011 (UTC))

Please don't just delete his image without discussion. If you have another you prefer, please use it but don't just delete and go!.--Egghead06 (talk) 18:27, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
- And again please discuss. Any further deletion of this will be considered vandalism.--Egghead06 (talk) 20:31, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
- The disputed image is, according to the info on its file at Commons, from a "trade ad for Bobby Goldsboro's single "Goodbye To All You Women" and placed in Billboard, page 19, April 1, 1967 by United Artists Records. I don't understand why it is disputed, barring any possible copyright issue that escapes me. --Technopat (talk) 12:45, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
Bobby Goldsboro discography
Support split - Discography section takes up close to half of the page, and should be split to a new article entitled Bobby Goldsboro discography. --Jax 0677 (talk) 19:49, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
"Drifter"
Why wasn't "I'm a Drifter" mentioned? This is his all time #1, at least, in the U.S. Also, "Watching Scotty grow" and "Autumn of my life" were big hits, again, in the U.S. Better than downers about dying wives, blind kids. "Honey" only did well as it was his first; and "Summer, the first time" as it was on the heels of "Summer of '42".65.129.250.231 (talk) 20:42, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
