  Clarification requested

  1. By their very nature awards can be subjective by representing a very specific point of view — the point of view which determines who wins the award, and why. To counter this, a good practice is to limit the listing of awards to only those which are independently notable in Wikipedia.[a]
  2. To include a list of awards here, please ensure that only awards which are independently notable in Wikipedia are listed in the request.
  3. When ready to proceed with the list of independently notable awards, kindly change the {{request edit}} template's answer parameter to read from |ans=yes to |ans=no. Thank you!

Notes

  1. ^ An award which is independently notable is recognized by having its own article in Wikipedia.
Hi, Spintendo! Thank you for letting me know. I adjusted the list to have those notable in Wikipedia. There are a few I couldn't find their own section for but I did see that other people had that award in their award section (I hope that's okay!). Please see updated list below and let me know if you have any questions.
  • 2016 Glenn T. Seaborg Award Medalist, UCLA
  • 2016 Richard C. Tolman Award, Southern California Section of the American Chemical Society
  • 2015 American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) Team Science Award
  • 2009 Herbert Newby McCoy Award Recipient, UCLA
  • 1995 American Chemical Society Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award
  • 1992 Hanson-Dow Teaching Award, UCLA (There is no page for this award, but I did notice others had it in their pages. Please advise)
  • 1991 Herbert Newby McCoy Award Recipient, UCLA
  • 1987 Glenn T. Seaborg Award Recipient
  • 1980 Fulbright-Hays Grant, U.S. Research Scholar Award (Fullbright Program)
  • 1980 American Cyanamid Young Researcher Award (There is no page for this award, but I did notice others had it in their pages. Please advise)
  • 1979 Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Research Fellow (Sloan Fellows)
  • 1979 Camille and Henry Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Grantee (There is no page for this award, but I did notice others had it in their pages. Please advise)
  • 1977 Eli Lilly Grantee (There is no page for this award, but I did notice others had it in their pages. Please advise)
  • 1975 UCLA Summer Faculty Fellow (List of University of California, Los Angeles people)

Please indicate the awards notability by placing the WikiLink for the award in the requested prose.[a] For example, the description of the Academy Awards is highlighted here, and when you click on the name, it takes you to the Wikipedia article about that award. Please place the Wikilinks for these awards above. Regards,  Spintendo  01:05, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notes

  1. ^ Reviewer disclaimer: The requirement I'm asking for here that the awards be notable is not due to WP:N (which is not a content requirement). My asking for notability here is to ensure WP:NPOV. By their very nature, awards are subjective in that they represent a very specific point of view — the point of view of the individual or organization which determines who wins the award and why. The adding of several points of view to an article in the form of an awards section may skew the article's balance.[1] Thus, my own practice is to limit the listing of awards to only those which are independently notable in Wikipedia.
