Laal Singh Chaddha is an upcoming 2020 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Advait Chandan, produced by Aamir Khan under his banner Aamir Khan Productions and written by Atul Kulkarni. The film features Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. The film is a remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump. The film will also be based on the Operation Blue Star and the demolition of the Babri Masjid. Khan will play the role of a Sikh character in the film, and Kapoor plays his love interest. The film was officially announced on 14 March 2019 by Khan on the occasion of his birthday. Principal photography commenced on 31 October 2019. The film will be shot in more than 100 locations in India, which will set a new record in Hindi cinema. The film is scheduled to be released theatrically on 25 December 2020 on the Christmas festival.[1]
