Curriculum
Academic Curriculum[2]
Anderson Primary School has 6 Academic Departments - English language, Mandarin Chinese, Malay language, Tamil language, Mathematics and Science. Each offering key programmes to cultivate pupils' interest in the subject.
The school usually uses the Percentage grading system to grade students in the Upper Primary levels. Mother Tongue Language teachers usually use the Letter grading system to grade students' work.
Each subject's key programmes include the Ministry of Education's Curriculum along with other enriching programmes such as Learning Journeys.

Non-academic Curriculum[2]
Anderson Primary School has 4 other departments - Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Character and Citizenship Education (CCE), Physical Education (PE) and Aesthetics ( The arts like Music and Visual arts)
Although the non-academic assesments (Mainly for the Physical Education and Aesthetics Departments) are not weighted, they will still show up in the students' report book along with conduct.
It is compulsory for all Primary 4 and 6 students to take the NAPFA Test.

Demographics
The school has a large Chinese majority, because Singapore's population is largely Chinese. Malays, Indians and Permanent residents make up the total student population.
Admissions[7]
The Parent Volunteer Scheme is open to parents of children due for the Primary 1 Registration Exercise. They are required to register 2 years before the year of Primary 1 Intake.
