Khottabych (Russian: Хоттабыч) - a 2006 comedy folk-tale by STV channel, a remake of the 1956 USSR film Starik Khottabych. Has nothing in common with the first film, except for some important ideas. More precisely the film has a screen name K}{OTT@B\)CH (Russian: }{0ТТ@БЬ)Ч), to depict an internet-styling features of the film. Novel - Copper Jar of Starik Khottabych by Sergey Oblomov. Screenplay by Peter Tochilin, Veronika Voznyak.

- The car used by the main characters is the modified Pobeda M20. It was sold from the Internet auction Molotok.ru for $10,000.
- Off screen voice is Dmitry Puchkov known as Goblin.
- Filmed at Russian State Genetic Scientific Research Institute. Device used by Gena is really used in the process of DNA analysis.
- In the episode shot at the Red Square it was closed by the crowd dressed as Russian Militia officers to prevent strangers from entering the screen field.
- In the episode of Gena beating by Militia officers one of them missed Gena's protective wear and hit actor with all the might.
