Welcome to The Wikipedia Adventure!

Hi Ahmetlii! We're so happy you wanted to play to learn, as a friendly and fun way to get into our community and mission. I think these links might be helpful to you as you get started.

Speedy deletion declined: Ernest Bediako Sampong

Hello Ahmetlii. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Ernest Bediako Sampong, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguously promotional. Thank you. Salvio 10:08, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wording of your announcement on the Village Pump

You used "Change logo" in making your announcement of the Wikipedia:Icon standardization page. Without reading the page, it sounds like you're proposing a change to the globe logo of all Wikipedia, which is a much more contreversial change than what you're actually doing. You might want to change the heading to "Standardize icons", or at least something using "icon" rather than "logo" to be more clear. Vahurzpu (talk) 18:37, 8 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mugulü

Yujiulü Mugulü was not khagan, that title would only come with the reign of Yujiulü Shelun. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 181.221.44.181 (talk) 20:05, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Draft:Ufuk Sağın. I do not think that Draft:Ufuk Sağın fits any of the speedy deletion criteria  because Drafts cannot be deleted under the notability CSD criteria (A7-9), only mainspace articles can. If you wish, you may try using the simple proposed deletion (PROD) process, or the full articles for deletion (AfD) process, instead, if this was an article, or another process such as MfD or XfD as appropriate. Nathan2055talk - contribs 18:00, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Nathan2055:, thanks. I would like to delete with PROD, however I couldn't find PROD button in Twinkle.Ahmetlii (talk) 18:05, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
PROD is unfortunately only available on mainspace articles as well. We give new editors a lot of leeway to try and improve drafts, the only real exceptions when speedy deletion can be employed are BLP violations (WP:G10), unambiguous promotion (WP:G11), and copyright infringement (WP:G12). Otherwise, editors are free to work on drafts as long as they want, with the only exception being that we soft delete drafts under WP:G13 if they go without being worked on for six months. You can take this (or any other) draft to MfD if you want, but it's really not blatantly terrible enough for that to be necessary. I'd just decline it and leave it for the creator to either improve or abandon. Nathan2055talk - contribs 18:20, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Nathan2055: I don't want to take draft to MfD, because of the reason. Just, I will tag it for further revisions for the draft. Thanks again for information.Ahmetlii (talk) 18:27, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
All right, sounds good to me. Nathan2055talk - contribs 19:56, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Welcome!

Hello, Ahmetlii. Thank you very much for your welcome and help offer, which I might take advantage of. I am not new in Wikipedia, since I'm a Spanish Wikipedia admin, but things work in a very different way over here and I'm getting a bit lost navigating through the pages. Have a nice day. Hans Topo1993 (talk) 09:56, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Hans Topo1993: Thanks for the feedback. I'm generally sending welcome messages without an opinion about the user's status. English Wikipedia is the biggest Wikipedia in the world - and I lost my way in pages several times, so I guess that you will need a few days to adapt.
