Category:Districts of England created by the Local Government Act 1894

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Urban and rural districts were created in 1894 by the Local Government Act 1894. Many of the districts originated earlier as sanitary districts or local boards. Some districts later gained further status such as municipal borough or county borough and a few changed names; those districts are listed here with their name and status immediately prior to abolition.
