Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Portal:Current events/2021 January 16, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Ahmetlii (talk) 12:45, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm 180.242.50.227. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Portal:Current events/2021 January 22, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. 180.242.50.227 (talk) 01:04, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Please do not add or change Manual of Style, as you did at Portal:Current events/2021 January 22. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Manual of style and take this opportunity to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. 36.65.43.72 (talk) 19:25, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Super Bowl info

Thank you for your calm, concise, persistent explanations on this sports item. Present wording (17:00 25 January 2021) seems best. RaqiwasSushi (talk) 17:07, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Recommend registering with made-up name and basic ID info, acceptable to you, which gives more respect to your work. Can be significant in discussions. Peace. RaqiwasSushi (talk) 17:14, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The user responds

HI! I have every right to revert my own damned edits.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I DO NOT WISH MY EDITS TO BE HERE ANY LONGER 40.133.234.46 (talk) 23:36, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. 331dot (talk) 01:41, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

No, you don't have that "right" at all. Please read more carefully before you click "Submit", and if you're going around just reverting your own edits, you are disrupting the joint. You made some good edits, for which we thank you, but this fucking around is unproductive. Drmies (talk) 23:38, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So, you're saying I can't revert my own one or two character edits that were purely grammatical? That's mighty fascinating.

No, your edits belong to the community now. You licensed them when you clicked "Publish". We can do what we want, according to the improvement of the encyclopedia. Elizium23 (talk) 00:49, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Have a great life.
Yep, and it's not "fascinating" at all, it's the way things work here. When you hit "Publish", you are assigning the rights to your contribution to the community. Once you do that, it ain't yours to take back. The only "right" you have is to go away (same right as all of us have). If you can't cooperate as a member of the community, perhaps you should consider that alternative. It's sad, but might be for the best if you don't know how to play well with others. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 01:15, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You're seriously giving me a hard time about wanting to revert miniscule punctuation changes that *I* made? All due respect, but you people do not know how to 'play well' because this is not a 'game' in the first place. But hey, why go after me and not those crazy lunatics who kept reverting absolutely legit things I wrote (did not 'enter'). My issue here is the fact that you are clearly going after me. There's nothing fascinating about wanting to remove commas. You can readd them yourselves.
