Need review Hashim Tariq bhat (talk) 06:17, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This was reviewed yesterday by Curb Safe Charmer. It looks as though it needs just one more high-quality source, a source that describes the topic in depth, like the Kasmir Life one. It doesn’t have to be in English. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 10:41, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can you semi-protect this associated article also. Thanks.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 10:09, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thanks for taking care of Levwashere levi may. It's pretty clear from their similar nonsense that Levwashere is the same user, if you want to do something with that as well. Thanks. —[AlanM1 (talk)]— 05:22, 24 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, yes. Blocked that too. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 05:33, 24 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Special:Diff/1002810813 doesn't seem to have anything to do with acceptable talk page usage. —[AlanM1 (talk)]— 07:42, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm, no. I have removed their talk page access and cleared their talk page. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 09:40, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Questions about The Strap-Ons

Hello Malcolmxl5,

I have some questions because I posted a different version of a wikipedia article that was removed. I understand why it was removed and sorry for the extended delay and have created a totally revamped article which I believe has resolved the issues of proving notability and providing citations.

My first question is, did I post it in the proper way so that you can review it. If not, let me know the correct procedure. If it is okay the way I have posted it, can you please review it and give suggestions on how to improve it to follow wikipedia guidelines and rules.

I have gained a lot of information through this experience: the importance of providing citations that show notability. I appreciate your help in this matter and look forward to hearing from you with recommendations on proper procedures to follow and ways to improve the article.

Thanks, Brian D. Diederich Brianddiederich (talk) 23:06, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Brianddiederich: Hi, Brian. For bands, I like to see a bio and for this, a few in-depth, high quality sources will do a great job; three is often enough as long as they are in some depth. The Johnny Loftus one in AllMusic is a fairly decent one; if there are other in-depth profiles of the band in books, e.g. encyclopaedias of rock or punk music, or in quality music magazines, or in quality newspapers, it would be good to have these too. The other thing, and you’ve probably noticed a tag on the page, is that we prefer articles to be written by someone who is not close to the subject; see WP:COI. Not the end of the world of course, the article can always be rewritten by someone else. P.S. I see the original article was picked up by the EverybodyWiki when it was deleted. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 04:48, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Continued concern over University of Reading

Hi there. Just wanted to let you know there still may be concerns over the University of Reading page protections you put in place (and I requested). There seem to be new accounts ready to take on their fight, and who've turned their attention to my talk page. Just thought you should be warned, not that I expect you haven't seen this sort of stuff before. Shadowssettle Need a word? 20:42, 11 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Shadowssettle: Noted, thank you. Keep well. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 21:00, 11 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there, the new account has continued to go on (and on) on my talk page, which I removed because I don't need that. When I checked for continued vandalism, I saw they've taken to editing (in a far less disruptive manner) Robert Van de Noort instead. I tried to be constructive and incorporate their edits using reliable sources rather than synthesising and ORing a non-independent letter, but wouldn't mind a second pair of eyes to make sure I'm not just reverting for nothing. Shadowssettle Need a word? 16:15, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like a good revert to me, Shadowssettle. I’ve put the page on my watchlist and will look closer. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 17:22, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Korea origin theory

Hello. I am a Wikipedia user from South Korea. I have a message to tell you about the "Korea origin theory" document. First of all, I apologize for the use of rude expressions in the document by some of the excited Koreans. I would like to inform you that "Korea origin theory" document was created and deleted several years ago. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/South_Korean_cultural_claims_(2nd_nomination) please read this record.

There have been several cultural disputes between South Korea and China in recent years, and some Chinese has written this document to demean Korea. This document is not neutral and the evidence is poor. Most of the sources are Chinese and Japanese articles, and even those are poorly documented. Please, I sincerely ask you to delete this document with your authority. Thank you for reading. Sushgmjj2020 (talk) 05:57, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It is eleven years since the last deletion discussion so it will need to go through another. Someone has already nominated it for deletion. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 12:53, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

About notable residents without Wikipedia pages

Hello. You recently removed my link to Edwin Symonowicz as a notable resident of Dolina Jadwigi and provided a comment: 'Notable people' means people who have an article on Wikipedia. This person does not have an article. However, why then several Wikipedia city pages have several people in their 'notable people' sections with no articles on Wikipedia and no one removes them? For example, look Łobez - of all 6 notable residents, only 1 has his Wikipedia page! And even no references! If it's so, why then I can't write about my favourite Polish singer Edwin Symonowicz on his hometown page with clear reliable reference (wide-known book) that he was born there and is notable enough? --Birdsflyinghigh123 (talk) 14:28, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If Edwin Symonowicz is notable then it shouldn’t be difficult for you to write a Wikipedia compliance article about him. While you are here, please explain why you added Edwin Symonowicz to the list of heads of Fettes College here and why you created an article about a 15-year old boy? --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 15:04, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Per WP:CITSTRUCT, if a person doesn't have an article then they don't get included. If they're notable the first step is to create and article and then link them. Canterbury Tail talk 15:11, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I can explain. At the first time, I'm sorry for Fettes College mistake. It was not an intended hoax, I saw the wrong reference that Symonowicz was one of this college headteacher's in Web and realized that it's fake info only after I made my change into Wikipedia. Now about Frank Mortenson. You think 15-year old boy can't be included in Wiki only because of his age? He is from the same generation like Roksana Węgiel and Viki Gabor - they are also 15-year old, but they are Polish singers. The same about Frank Mortenson. --Birdsflyinghigh123 (talk) 15:35, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
