Thomas[2] (born June 4, 1992), better known by his online alias Sykkuno, is an American Twitch streamer and YouTuber. He is known for his livestreams on Twitch.[3] He is the 38th most-followed channel, and 11th most-subscribed on the platform.

Career

Twitch

While his Twitch account has been active since 2011, his channel was created on November 14, 2011 and first went live on January 3, 2018, Sykkuno began streaming on a regular basis in April of 2019 after being convinced to do so by fellow streamer and OfflineTV member LilyPichu. He quickly gained popularity on the platform, with many attributing his calm, laid-back demeanor as a factor.[4]

In August 2020, Sykkuno briefly moved into the OfflineTV house and collaborated with the group in certain video projects. He moved out two months later, stating that he wanted to move back in with family.[5]

Sykkuno's Twitch channel gained over 620,000 followers over a 30-day period in November 2020, making him one of the fastest growing streamers on the platform.[6][7]

On November 27, 2020, Sykkuno participated in an Among Us session on Twitch featuring U.S. representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The stream raised over $200,000 to help combat food insecurity.[8][9]

As of February 2021, Sykkuno's channel is the 11th most-subscribed on the entire platform.[10]

Personal life

Sykkuno is a native of Southern California. In January 2021, he announced that he would be moving to Las Vegas, Nevada.[11][12] He is of Chinese and Vietnamese descent.[13]
