I finished the assignment for week 7 -WANG XIAOLING

Hello, Professor, I am Wang Xiaoling from the collective intelligence. I completed the assignment of editing Wikipedia 10 times a week. And I edited the extra credits more than 30 times. Edited more than 40 times in total. English Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Song_Yi_(actress).

Chinese Wikipedia: https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%AE%8B%E8%BD%B6

In addition, I completed the translation of the article about Zhao Lixin to English Wikipedia(The extra credit assignment assigned by the professor last time). Please check the assignment. Thank you very much, have a good dream. WANG XIAOLING995 15:04, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

WANG XIAOLING995, Excellent job, you are on a perfect track to get A+ in the course. And I hope you are enjoying learning valuable wiki skills :) To complete the article on Zhao Lixin, please add his Chinese name 赵立新 to the article using the {{lang-zh}} template, and then add a WP:INTERWIKI link to connect his English article to the Chinese one. Also, can you discuss in the article the controversy mentioned in Zheng_Shuang_(actress,_born_1991) related to Secret Keepers? "The postponement was due to a general blacklist by the state regulators on a co-actor, Zhao Lixin and that the production team had to edit Zhao out from the drama.". It seems quite interesting. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:52, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Piotrus,Hello professor, first of all thank you very much!^^ And Finished the article on Zhao Lixin added the Chinese name and add a link to connect his English article to the Chinese one. Also, I have discussed in Zheng_Shuang_(actress,_born_1991)’s article. This is the link: [[1]]. Thank you! WANG XIAOLING995 04:34, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Piotrus, Hello professor, is there something wrong with my editor?? WANG XIAOLING995 08:30, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
WANG XIAOLING995, I just reviewed your edits, they are all good - keep up your efforts! Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:20, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Week7: Finished Weekly Wiki/ Shinhee Kim

Hello, professor! I finished this week wiki assignment! I edit new 10 wikis, please check it. Have a good afternoon :) Shinhee Kim (talk) 07:04, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Shinhee Kim, Good job, although one of your additions was removed [2]. I'll ping User:Serols for additional explanation, my reading of WP:NOSOCIAL suggests that if this is a link to the official Facebook account it should be ok? Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:09, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Piotrus, please read Weblinks -> 10. Regards --Serols (talk) 10:37, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Serols, I did, and I don't see the problem? "Except for a link to an official page of the article's subject"/ Well, if the link is official, then it's ok, isn't it? Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:22, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Piotrus, the social links are only allowed, if it is the only official site, which is not the case here, see "External links", there is the official site. Regards --Serols (talk) 07:08, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Serols, I see. I think the wording of the EL guideline should be clarified as it is not very obvious this is the case right now. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 04:44, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Professor

Hello, Professor. After your guidance, I have learned how to sign and know how to sign my posts. I will start the task of translating into Chinese as soon as possible, and I will catch up with the progress as soon as possible. Thank you!--Lbn0923 (talk) 16:28, 20 April 2021 (UTC)Lbn0923[reply]

Lbn0923, Good job! Although you don't need to type your username after your signature, as I think you did [3]. Please update me with your translation progress, and ask any questions you need to! Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:31, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello professor! We are Jung Ji-soo, and Han Su-young.

We were working hard to edit the final project!

In the meantime, we wondered if we were carrying out the task in the right direction, so we leave a message.

Reflecting the professor’s feedback last time,

1) Added reference to "Autumn Uprising of 1946",

2) Added "아동 학대" Article added and reference

Are we doing well or are there any modifications?

And with regards to the 10th edition every week, I have a personal question.

I've been doing 10 edits every week, but I don't think there is a need to notify the professor because you can check the dashboard right away, so I didn't leave a message to you.

I also didn't see the phrase to remain on the talk page every week after 10 edits.

Did I ever have to leave a message to you after performing 10 edits every week? If I have to leave a message to you, I will send a message back to you by organizing the list of contributions and time to see the list I edited.

I look forward to your reply with my teammates!! Thanks for watching our questions! --Swamming (talk) 10:50, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Swamming, User:Swamming/Autumn Uprising of 1946 is shaping well. For Korean language references please provide both the English and the Korean name. For example, for [4] you provide only the English title - you should additionally provide the Korean one as well (대구의 역사 갈등과 역사화해). Your first paragraph should be under a section called "names", as it discusses the various names of the event. Please proofread the text carefully, I recommend the free service Grammarly.
Your Korean article is also developing well.
Regarding the 10 edits, you don't have to notify me every week, but if you do so, then I can give you extra feedback. Otherwise I'll only provide feedback if I see errors/problems. Your recent edits are very nice, but here you should also add a reference. In general, whenever you add content, you should try to make sure that every paragraph (if not every sentence) has a reference.
Keep up the good job! Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:29, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for my bowl of strawberries! :) I would like to put the article on the Did you know section, but at the moment the page still has a warning that it is being considered for deletion. Am I authorised to remove that or is that done by someone else? Artmac6 (talk) 10:05, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Artmac6, Someone else will remove the notice. You can put your article for the DYK, although it is likely past the required "one week since creation". Please say it is your first nomination and ask for an extension of the one-week time given the circumstances in your nomination. Ask me for help if needed Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 04:43, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

WANG XIAOLING995, Very nice. Some ideas for more weekly/extra credit edits: how about you try uploading some images you took, adding them to relevant articles, and create a WP:USERPAGE? I finished weekly edits (Week 8) - Minkyo Jeong

Hello Professor. I completed weekly edits. However, I have a question. Someone left a message on my talk page on 19 April 2021 (UTC). Could you check it for me? And... is there any problem with me? Thank you. Kyokyoyaaaaa talk💬 06:10, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kyokyoyaaaaa, Your weekly edits are good, but please try to expand on the content added to Pepero_Day#Controversy. I am not sure I understand what you mean by "taking the form of unscrupulous capitalism as a specific company tactic". If a sentence is unclear in English it can be deleted from Wikipedia as confusing.
If you refer to the message left by "92.40.189.191" you can mostly ignore it - as the anonymous IP who left it did not mention which article you edited may contain any error. However, I do encourage you to read the linked policies about COI - it can also make for an interesting extra credit blog! Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:13, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Professor Piotrus, I modfied some ambiguous sentences you mentioned. Please check. And, as you said, i read the policies about COI. It was helpful for me. Thank you, and have a good weekend  :) Kyokyoyaaaaa talk💬 11:46, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Kyokyoyaaaaa, Well done! I have rewritten the section further, feel free to study it more for how to write content clearly. Good job adding the information - it is certainly very interesting from the sociological perspective! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:26, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please check it~ Thank you for your time.SIA YANG (talk) 16:08, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for asking for the feedback. Good tries, but consider why your edit was reverted here: [10]. Read WP:NPOV and try to answer this here or in an extra credit blog. What can we learn from this?
Regarding your upload of old art, it's good. But instead of Creative Commons templates, you should use a public domain set. This page in Chinese can help explain this, and the English version contains further information. Compare, for example, your uploads to the license used here.
Also, I see you added some categories - that's very good. Please look at this or [11] to see how it can be done even better, and then you try to improve the categories yourself for the uploaded images. Without proper categorization, some of the files you upload may be unnecessary duplicates. I recommend that for your next attempt of uploading images, you try to share some of your own images - pictures you took yourself with your phone or camera.
And nice job using SuggestBot! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:11, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Prose or not

Good afternoon, my remark here is that I disagree with encouraging users to turn presentations of lists of results into a prose format. If a list of results is presented, then the list format should be used. An example of a, imho, not very reader friendly presentation would be the current version of the article Hrant Melkumyan. Here a list would be, in my opinion, far more appropriate. Regards, Bob.v.R (talk) 10:35, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Professor,

I'm jinsin chen (chenchen)

I am very pleased to tell you that editing Wikipedia is a very fortunate thing for me.

I edited this article this week.I haven't edited as many times as before, but now I modify a lot of content every time.Reducing the number of edits will make my editing more efficient. (I'm really not lazy😀)

I published two blogs this week.https://socwiki2021.blogspot.com/2021/04/w82-why-wikipedia-is-most-efficient-of.html ; https://socwiki2021.blogspot.com/2021/04/w8-reliability-of-wikipedia.html

And commented on bnkn's blog.https://socwiki2021.blogspot.com/2021/04/w8-why-wikipedia-is-most-efficient-of_70.html?showComment=1619357531225#c9194584207002206506

In addition, in order to obtain more extra points, I changed my signature style. Is my favorite khaki (Dear Professor, have you noticed?)

Although I Don’t know what my current grades are, I will work harder to obtain a higher score.

Hope the professor has a nice day
