Speedy deletion of HobbySpace

A tag has been placed on HobbySpace, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD g11.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Spryde 12:43, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Science in Sport

Hello Kobestarr,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Science in Sport for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Request reason:

I apologise for contravening the Wikipedia rules. I promise that I have never taken payment or even been asked by anyone to create Wikipedia articles. I hope that the infrequency of my article posting would support my statement and suggest that that is the case. Where I do see that I have made an ill-judged error is with the posting of a recent company Telcoin and then telling people, including those that work there, that I had created an article. I should not have done that. I apologise and will never do this again. I cannot stress enough that they didn't ask me to create this article and they would attest to that. I see that other articles I wrote have been removed. I didn't do any announcements on these articles and feel that my poor judgement, in this Telcoin case, has unfairly reflected on articles that are solid, have been added to by other editors and are used as a valuable research source on the Internet. I promise to contribute more to Wikimedia in the future as well as adding ad hoc articles. If I have misunderstood the reason for my ban please can you reach out to me to help me further understand? I once again stress that I have never received payment or other benefits from companies or people for creating Wikipedia articles on their behalf, and no one has ever asked me to create articles on their behalf. They have all been self motivated by myself and would love to be reinstated as an editor together with the articles that I am proud to have written. Thanks for reading. Kobi

Decline reason:

It's clear to me that you are a paid editor and I find it highly unlikely that a person such as yourself would be paid for the services that you do but leave out Wikipedia editing as one of those services. I'm sure you can agree that it looks bad. I think your only pathway forward here is to agree to not edit about current companies or living people and tell what you want to edit about instead. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 22:38, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi there - I would like to say for the record that I am not a paid editor. Though I'm not sure what the process would be to prove this to be true. Maybe it will come out in time? I was always just kind of proud that I was a contributor to Wikipedia so am a bit gutted I am believed to be doing so under nothing but altruistic circumstances. I am, however, super happy to declare what I edit about and stay away from living people and companies. What is the process for doing this? Does this mean no new article creation etc? This is also fine it takes me ages to do and each time I don't think that I'm that good at it! Kobestarr (talk) 06:04, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Only one open unblock request at a time, please. Opening multiple requests will not speed up the process in any way. If you would like to leave a comment, or ask a question - you may do so without adding the {{unblock}} formatting. !ɘM γɿɘυϘ⅃ϘƧ 08:04, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello there. Sorry to ask has anyone had the opportunity to respond to my questions above? I'm not sure if the format was correct so have just modified it. Hopefully it's the right one now. I have been thinking of some pieces of evidence that point towards the fact that I acted on my own with the Telcoin case (as it's the most recent). Would you be willing to see them? I can share either links, such as to Reddit or screenshots? My thought pattern behind the articles I have created have typically been "Hold on - Company (or Person) X has a Wikipedia Page but Y doesn't? Well I'm going to create one for Y". If you wish I can link to the "company X" article that is still on Wikipedia that spurred me to create the Telcoin one and a link where someone said online that they created the article. I pretty much just copied the format that they used at the time. This would only be a reference - I don't wish to get the other people in trouble! I will also link/screenshot where I posted that I'd created the Telcoin article and where people commented that I'd made some glaring incorrect statements. Showing that the Telcoin team hadn't supplied me with the key information and I was acting on my own. would it be ok to share these with you for review please? I'm still somewhat disappointed that I have been flagged as paid editor, it has ruined my weekend tbh and this is the only way that I feel I can absolve myself. If anyone has any other suggestions I'd love to hear them. Regards, KobiKobestarr (talk) 06:04, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

Hi - sorry I didn’t realise I was doing the wrong thing by having multiple requests. What is the most appropriate forum for trying to state my case please? Kobestarr (talk) 08:17, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
