{{helpme}}
Hello (July 2021.
As an editor with no experience apart from one article in 2008 I would be very grateful for help with the article in my sandbox at RJalan/sandbox, particularly but not only with
a) The opening paragraphs which replace the shorter text which was rejected by UnitedStatesian (is it clear now what SfB is and why it was created?)
b) The references: are there enough and do they work properly?
Please could you read the text (not the tables) and tell me about poor grammar or anything which is not clear - or should be deleted.
Thank you very much!!

Hello (September 2021)
Clearly there is a lot to do to the SfB article and I regret that I have not worked on it for some time, due to a broken wrist. I hope I may be given time when I have recovered in the autumn/winter to make a further submission.

2008:
Hello. I would be grateful for help in marking up this article, particularly on references. Reference 2 accounts for most of the text - have I indicated this adequately? Also, the three references are also the three external links and it would seem neater to bring them together, so can the external links be intergrated with the reference text? Alan (talk) 18:14, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Alan, I'll do what I can to help you. For the second reference (to the Tameside Blue Plaque) I have made it into a "named reference" - this means that anywhere else in the text that you want to use it you can just insert <ref name="tameside" /> and it will automatically link to the reference. I've also made the reference work as an external link itself. I'd suggest adding it at the end of paragraphs which rely on it as a source. If you have any more questions, then you can ask here (I've put this page on my watchlist) or on my talk page, which is linked in my signature. DuncanHill (talk) 12:44, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've done a similar thing for the link to the family website - just type <ref name="rayjones" /> anywhere you want to use that reference again. I made it as a direct link to the "Ray...Jone" page, as this seemed to be the one with the most biographical material - hope this was right! DuncanHill (talk) 12:51, 11 December 2008 (UTC).[reply]
Thanks Duncan - and for adding the categories at the end - or perhaps that was done automatically. I'll need to go back to the sources to see what I took from where. Alan (talk) 13:52, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I added the categories - if you click on the box marked "history" at the top of the article, it lists all the edits that have been made to the page. You can use this to see exactly who did what, which can be useful when you need to see how something was done. Anyway - I'm glad I could help, and do please ask if there's anything else I can do. Wikipedia can be quite confusing at first, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it soon. Best wishes, DuncanHill (talk) 13:58, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would much appreciate help with this article (The SfB Classification) from an experienced editor: a read through, checking the references (are there enough?) and in particular, does my revised text adequately deal with the criticism from UnitedStatesian? Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by Qwerfjkl were:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
This needs clean-up to comply with WP:MOS standards.
