KWEE (100.1 FM) is a commercial radio station located in Dayton, Nevada broadcasting to the Reno and Lake Tahoe area. It is owned by Lotus Communications. Its studios are located on Plumb Lane in South Reno, and its transmitter is located on McClellan Peak northeast of Carson City.
History
On September 27, 2021, at 5:19 p.m., after playing "Here's Where the Story Ends" by The Sundays, KTHX-FM dropped its longtime AAA format after 24 years on the frequency and 31 years as a whole, and began stunting with instrumental jazz and big band music with sweepers stating that "100.1 is on hold".[1]
On September 30, 2021, at 10 a.m., KTHX-FM flipped to adult hits, branded as "100.1 We FM". Coinciding with the change, Lotus also applied to change the station's call letters to KWEE.[2] Note: KTHX Call Letters will be changed to KWEE on October 5
