American Legion in Las Vegas

The 1962 American Legion National Convention and the associated drum corps national championships, both for junior and senior corps, were held in Las Vegas, Nevada. While Las Vegas, Nevada may be within the Las Vegas Valley, the convention and the contests were in "Las Vegas", not in a more nebulous "Las Vegas Valley". As for the earlier edit, changing "Las Vegas" to "Las Vegas, Nevada", the correct link, as things now stand, is Las Vegas, which goes directly to the article for the city; Las Vegas, Nevada is redirected to the article for the city, which is Las Vegas. Unless and until a new page is created for "Las Vegas, Nevada" with "Las Vegass" redirected to it, then the proper link is Las Vegas. I try to make sure that my links are not ambiguous, and I sometimes miss one, but, when I do, there is usually an almost immediate automated notification with a direct to the disambiguous page, and I take care of the matter. In this case, there was no ambiguity. GWFrog (talk) 14:04, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree except for this minor caveat:
Las Vegas, which goes directly to the article for the city
Actually, the article at is Las Vegas (Las Vegas is not a redirect that goes to that article).

I think that's what I said---Las Vegas goes directly to the article. Las Vegas, Nevada is redirected there. GWFrog (talk) 14:30, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing discography information

Please stop deleting the discography section. We have sources. These sections have been carefully curated over many years. There is no reason to delete it as it is no different from the discography section on any other music related page. It is encyclopedic knowledge and is not “excessive” by any means.
