Ruby Haden-Guest (formerly Thomas Guest; born March 15, 1996), known as Ruby Guest, is an American computer gaming editor. She is the adopted daughter of American actress Jamie Lee Curtis and American-British actor and screenwriter Christopher Guest, the 5th Baron Haden-Guest. She came out as a transgender woman in 2021.
Early life and family
Guest was born on March 15, 1996 in Santa Monica, California.[1] She is one of two children, along with her sister Annie, adopted by American actress/writer Jamie Lee Curtis and actor/director/screenwriter Christopher Guest.[2][3] She was adopted shortly after birth.[citation needed] She is the granddaughter of actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh and the niece of actresses Kelly Curtis and Allegra Curtis.[4] On her father's side, she is the paternal granddaughter of The 4th Baron Haden-Guest, a British diplomat, and American television executive Jean Pauline Hindes, and the niece of actor Nicholas Guest.
Guest graduated from Santa Monica High School in 2015.[1] She attended the University of Mary Hardin–Baylor.[1]
Guest is a member of the British nobility through her father's family. As the adopted child of a British peer, Guest is not in the line of succession to the Haden-Guest barony. Per the terms of a 2004 royal warrant, she is entitled to the courtesy title and status held by the daughter of a baron, thus being styled The Honourable, which, like her mother, she does not use.[5][1]
Career
Guest appeared in the gaming web series Game Grumps and in the documentary World of Warcraft: Looking for Group.[1] In 2016, she attended the World of Warcraft premiere with her mother.[6]
She works as a computer gaming editor.[7][8]
Personal life
Guest is a transgender woman, having come out publicly in 2021.[9][10] She is engaged and is set to be married in 2022, with Curtis officiating the ceremony.[11]
