Scott is the first full-time female broadcaster in the city of Philadelphia, and one of the first women to be the primary play-by-play caller for an NBA team.

Biography

Scott was born and raised in Clovis, California. She graduated from Clovis High School in 2001. She attended UC Berkeley where she majored in Communications. As a sophomore, she became the school's first female "Mic Man", leading the cheers in the student section for their football games.[3][4] She did an internship with KLLC ("Alice @ 97.3").[4] She graduated in 2005.[5] She took on various radio jobs including Metro Traffic.[6]

She joined KNBR in 2011 where she provided sports updates for their morning show and filled in as a substitute host.[7] She also served as a television sideline reporter for the San Jose Earthquakes[8][5] for three years, called high school football for Comcast, and anchored a Saturday night sports program for NBC Bay Area.[8]

In August 2016, Scott became the first woman to call an NFL game on the radio.[4] She covered two pre-season games for the San Francisco 49ers.[7]

In December 2016, she left KNBR to join the Pac-12 Network.[4] In 2017, she became the first woman play-by-play announcer for a regular season football game on the Pac-12 Network. She has also anchored, hosted, and announced on multiple sports for the network.[9][8]

For International Women’s Day on March 8, 2020, she was part of the first-ever all-women broadcast crew for a National Hockey League game on NBCSN. She was the play-by-play announcer, with Olympians A. J. Mleczko and Kendall Coyne Schofield as analysts.[5][10]

In October 2020, she joined the "Morning Roast" team as a morning co-host on KGMZ-FM ("95.7 The Game").[11][1] She continued to work with the Pac-12 network.[8]

On March 29, 2021, for Women's History Month, she became the first woman play-by-play radio announcer for the Golden State Warriors as she and sportscasters Mary Murphy and Kerith Burke covered their game with the Chicago Bulls.[1] For the 2020 Summer Olympics, she did play-by-play for some of the men's and women's basketball team games.[12] In August 2021, she left 95.7 The Game, and joined radio host Mike Golic to call play-by-play for 13 games for the Learfield Sports radio program College Football Saturday Night.[13][14]

On September 23, 2021, it was announced that Scott would become the play-by-play announcer for the Philadelphia 76ers. She became the second woman to do a full-time play-by-play role for a major sports franchise, after Lisa Byington for the Milwaukee Bucks.[15]

Personal life

While she was an intern with KLLC, Scott met Nicole in San Francisco. They got married.[16] They have a pitbull named Piper, who is a rescue.[4]
