Information icon Hi Mcheung90! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia — it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Lycoming T55, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. BilCat (talk) 20:40, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Honeywell can in no way determine the name of an article about an article beyond a polite request. Also, the correct title would be "Honeywell T55". You'll have to follow the procedures given at WP:RM if you still believe the article should be moved. Thanks. BilCat (talk) 21:06, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the guidance, BilCat. In the case of the Lycoming T55 page, I'd moved the page to a new title as the name of the engine is no longer accurate. The Lycoming T55 is now called the Honeywell T55 Turboshaft Engine. Is moving the page title to one that accurately reflects its name not justification to move a page? Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Mcheung90. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Lycoming T55, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Per your COI disclosure regarding Honeywell, you should not be making major edits, including moves, to those articles without having discussed them on the article's talk page first. Please review the links above carefully before resuming editing. Thanks. BilCat (talk) 20:57, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
