Antoine Griezmann position

I don't understand... where should I introduce that reliable source, as in that info panel can not introduce this info. I followed the Transfermarkt database, where it's confirmated Antoine Griezmann played along last seasons as attacking midfielder the most of his matches. So, how can I introduce that in Griezmann's info panel?

Erling Haaland honours

I think that the Time kommune heiderspris is a notable honour as Haaland himself showed up to receive the award.[1]

Henrik Larsson

Hello! I saw you deleted my edit because of no "reliable source". I looked at the reliable source page and from the looks of it, Swedish news articles from Sweden's biggest football news site about a Swedish football manager would go under reliable sources according to Wikipedia. So I believe my edit can be put back in place again.

Juan Mata edit

Why did you remove my edit? They were important to Juan Mata’s 2020-21 season. 2A04:4A43:4E7F:487E:6833:3EA2:CCA9:81E1 (talk) 09:12, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@2A04:4A43:4E7F:487E:6833:3EA2:CCA9:81E1: Because starting matches, winning penalties and entering matches as a substitute aren't particularly notable events in a player's career. And we don't use terms like 'superb' and 'magical' as we should adhere to a neutral point of view. Mattythewhite (talk) 17:31, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, are you able to move "Ryan Bennett (futebolista)" to "Ryan Bennett" on the Portuguese Wikipedia - I see you may have made enough edits on there which I haven't. Reason: there is also only one Ryan Bennett there as well as on here which I noticed last month. Thanks, Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 12:15, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Iggy the Swan: Feito! Mattythewhite (talk) 18:48, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Obrigada. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 06:58, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pitching in here! @Iggy the Swan: also came to me, but oddly/unfortunately (you choose which one suits best here) i never edited in the Portuguese WP, nor do i know of anyone who does.

All in all, account or no account, i'm just happy to contribute. Feels a little strange when i get those "possible BLP violation/vandalism" notes in edit summaries when i bust my ass improving articles, but i guess (i should know) that comes with the territory :)

Obrigado, bom fim de semana a todos --193.137.135.2 (talk) 17:34, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, I should take the fact that those who edit this Wikipedia does not necessary edit their "home language" Wikipedia as part of Wiki life. And I should know that myself as I never edited the Cymru version. At least, per above, that was taken care of. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 17:43, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

John Terry

Just be real, John, aka. Mr. Terry is a very real British feel.(User talk:Cltjames)18 November 2021, 13:31 ET.

@Cltjames: Just so you know, people "should generally be referred to by surname only – without an honorific prefix such as "Mr.", "Mrs.", or "Ms."", per MOS:SURNAME. Mattythewhite (talk) 19:20, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I guess I'm just being old fashioned; and so to is Mr. Terry I recon. @Cltjames:

Mitch Hancox

Hello, and thank you for cleaning up. Not sure that unhyphenated left backs needed "cleaning": Collins, Lexico and even Wiktionary prefer the unhyphenated version. But what I really came about are his FA Cup appearances for Hereford: I can't see how he gets 3, or specifically, I can't see an appearance in the Lymington (2QR) replay? cheers, Struway2 (talk) 10:01, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Struway2: The hyphenated form seems to be preferred in general usage here, including at Association football positions, but what's better grammatically I'm not sure.
Corrected it now, I'd misread the report thinking he started the match when he was actually an unused sub. Mattythewhite (talk) 19:44, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Both are acceptable, as the dictionary links show (Chambers doesn't list left back, but does give centre-back as hyphenated). Interestingly, at association football positions, centre-back is hyphenated but centre forward isn't: can't think of a decent reason for those being treated differently.
Thanks for fixing the FA Cup apps, these days I do tend to assume it's me that's made the mistake. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 10:22, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@2A02:C7E:C12:6E00:D0F7:EF9F:CB18:D66C: Because the stats you added didn't reflect what's in the sources. I explained multiple times in my edit summaries when reverting your edits why I was doing so. Mattythewhite (talk) 20:05, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Juan Mata

Well I was really proud of what I did so if I put he got an assist against west ham then would it be accepted. I would put it like this: He got an assist for Marcus Rashford against West Ham in a 3-1 win. 95.149.32.43 (talk) 21:31, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@95.149.32.43: Players get assists all the time. Was there something especially worthy of note about this particular assist? Mattythewhite (talk) 21:33, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
