Non notable candidate redirect as per WP:POLITICIAN Wintonian (talk) 13:04, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak Keep Candidate, not MP, so fails politician. However he may well be in office in a month, so let's not rush to make work for ourselves. Andy Dingley (talk) 13:20, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

- For this one I'm still inclined to Keep. He's notable locally and the "Black Farmer" stuff gave hime some prominence (Just being black in Wiltshire is pretty adventurous). Andy Dingley (talk) 13:38, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would say he isn't just a notable candidate but a notable TV personality and very notable as being one of the very few black farmers in the UK. Stuartea (talk) 12:02, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- This AfD nomination was incomplete (missing step 3). It is listed now. DumbBOT (talk) 14:22, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Looking through the news sources it is quite clear to me that this guy was notable as a businessman well before he became a candidate for public office. There is a swathe of coverage in the national press about being Britain's "only black farmer", etc. --Mkativerata (talk) 20:49, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep. Google News Archive shows he's received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject, including several national newspapers, so passes WP:Notability (people). Qwfp (talk) 21:14, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. A lot of the coverage is connected with his candidacy for the constituency. Normally I wouldn't count this, but in this case the coverage goes way beyond what you'd normally get for a PPC. I think this is enough in spite of WP:POLITICIAN. Chris Neville-Smith (talk) 07:40, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. The sausage shelves at Sainsbury's are a much more easily verifiable source for most people in the UK than academic journals, and the subject's notability can be seen there. Phil Bridger (talk) 22:20, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
