I am not sure this chess player is notable. Based on his description in the article, it seems he did not win any major tournament or national title. It seems also he did not represent his country at chess olympiads. And it seems he has no FIDE title. SyG (talk) 16:45, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This article is related to the article "Latvian Chess Championship", the chess player associated with the victory of Latvian chess championship or additional match for champion title. Please leave this article, because otherwise the article "Latvian Chess Championship" will be a link without the article. Pēteris Kampenuss is dead but in his time no more Latvian chess player have FIDE title.--Uldis s (talk) 08:39, 9 January 2012 (UTC) Also Pēteris Kampenuss have not played for Latvia in Chess olympiads because Latvia in his time not independent country.
