I have uploaded an improved quality MFO logo, since the previous one used on this page since 2005 was tagged as a degraded image.

I have also started an image gallery from my own personal collection of MFO photos. I went with a "gallery" instead of a row of photos down the side of the article to make them a bit less obtrusive. I have tried to avoid making this a "holiday snaps" sort of gallery, but have tried to concentrate on photos of uniforms, facilities and equipment that will hopefully be of interest to the casual reader and help bring this article to life a little. I may add a few more here, but personally I would like to keep these down to a small number.

If anyone has any objections to an image gallery for this article I would appreciate it if this could be discussed here on this page before any deletions are made.

I have a lot more background on the MFO, particularly from the period 1989-90 when I was there. I will be adding additional text, along with additional references, as soon as I have a chance to do so. Ahunt 01:08, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

I am currently serving in the MFO in Egypt and I feel this page could use a pretty large overhaul especially with the photos. I can provide new photos that are actually relevant to the personnel who probably check this page before coming here. Would like to delete most of the images and upload images of my own that are at least from this century. Let me know. Wkawalek (talk) 17:25, 15 September 2009 (UTC)Wkawalek

This is an encyclopedia article, not a briefing website for MFO intake personnel. Its aim is to provide a history of the MFO as well as an overview of current operations, especially in view of the fact that the MFO is getting smaller over time as its mission slowly winds up - its glory days are waning. Eventually when its job is done and the force disbanded this article will only reflect history and nothing else. If you want to update sections and add text on current operations, units, situations and events that is fine, but I am totally opposed to removing text and photos that detail the history of the MFO. - Ahunt (talk) 00:17, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

User Box

I have created an MFO userbox that any Wikepdieans who are serving, or who have previously served, with the MFO can put on their user pages, if they desire.

To put a user box on your user page enter the code: {{User:Ahunt/MFO}} to display:

This user served as a peacekeeper in the MFO

Fair use rationale for Image:MFOlogo.jpg

Image:MFOlogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I'm sorry but I don't understand the point of tagging the image gallery with a tag that says it is an image gallery and then refers readers to an article which doesn't deal with the subject. Perhaps you can spell out what you think should happen to the image gallery for those of us who don't understand the tag? - Ahunt (talk) 22:28, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Multinational Force and Observers. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether.
