The result of the discussion was move to Template:User folk, roots & traditional music and suppress redirect. Salvio Let's talk about it! 10:54, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
This userbox is broadly redundant to {{user folk music}}. Not used; if it was used I would move it to the correct title or to userspace. — This, that, and the other (talk) 09:41, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
Redirect to {{user folk music}}. In general, inocuous forks should be redirected on discovery. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 22:21, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
- Delete as a misnamed redundant userbox. Redundant to {{user folk music}}. Not used. Template space userboxes must being with "User" as per Wikipedia:Userboxes. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 06:42, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
Redirect to {{user folk music}}. per above.--Kleinzach 23:25, 8 December 2011 (UTC)- The thing is, it's unused, and the name is not appropriate for a userbox. Therefore, there is no point redirecting it, and we may as well delete it to make room for a possible future template at this title. — This, that, and the other (talk) 00:27, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
- Why is the name not appropriate for a userbox? --SmokeyJoe (talk) 12:17, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- Userboxes should be named "Template:User ______", or (preferably) should be kept in userspace. — This, that, and the other (talk) 09:44, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- Does the guideline Wikipedia:Userboxes say that? Does the guideline require clarification? --SmokeyJoe (talk) 03:57, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- The last item under Wikipedia:Userboxes#Which_namespace.3F: In the template namespace, userbox names must begin with "
User
" (e.g.Template:User Brazil
orTemplate:User en
). — This, that, and the other (talk) 05:30, 12 December 2011 (UTC)- The guideline does say as you say. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 06:42, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

- An old redirect with history behind it doesn't stop a future template. "Room" is not an issue. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 12:17, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

- Keep - this template is different than {{user folk music}} and more specific too, since it mentions "Folk, Roots and Traditional music" (which are all connected, but are not all the same in everyone's mind). If anything, this is more specific than just the general "folk music" label. Leepaxton (talk) 16:48, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
- I personally don't like making "rebuttal"-style arguments in general, but here I feel I must point out that the template is currently unused. If you, as its creator, want it, you can keep it in your userspace. If you don't want it, then neither does anyone else, and it can be deleted. — This, that, and the other (talk) 06:26, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- Delete wrong name for a UBX. If you want to keep this variant, it must be renamed, and the redirect left behind must be deleted. As the current name is about folk music, and not roots or traditional, the name is bad for that purpose. 76.65.128.198 (talk) 07:16, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- Delete per This, that and the other and SmokeyJoe. --Kleinzach 09:48, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- Keep and rename to Template:Folk, roots & traditional music. This provides users with another option to add to their user pages. Also, this template differs from the Template:User folk music. Northamerica1000(talk) 20:56, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- Following the guideline discussed above, you should be suggesting rename Template:User folk, roots & traditional music and delete the redirect. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 22:09, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

- I support this rename. If someone thinks it is not redundant, they may rename from the inappropriate title just as they may create any new userbox. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 07:39, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
