- as in "spending some good QT with LD." QT and LD are also mutually interchangeable in the English speaking world.
This struck me as facetious and not encyclopedic. Mark Foskey 21:33, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Does anybody really call Tarantino QT?137.22.99.185 00:21, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- Not since he was 6 weeks old. Gone! --UnicornTapestry (talk) 20:37, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- Certainly they do. Google search QT Quentin Tarantino with QT in quotes. There's plenty of evidence. Check out this and scroll down to nicknames: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000233/67.137.178.122 (talk) 16:54, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
- Right, so the right thing to do is to edit the Quentin Tarantino with a reliable source indicating he is commonly known as "QT". older ≠ wiser 16:59, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, okay. Sorry, I'm not the most experienced editor. I thought though I'd just put the reference directly in the QT page, as it's more likely to be deemed unnecessary if inserted on the Quentin Tarantino page. Also, plenty of the other listed articles don't mention "QT" anywhere in them, so I still don't see why this one matters so much. 67.137.178.122 (talk) 17:18, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
- No, references do not go on disambiguation pages. Either the linked article supports the usage or there is no reason to disambiguate. Disambiguation pages are navigational aides, not directories of slang usage. older ≠ wiser 17:55, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
- And is there a particular other article you see that does not support the usage? older ≠ wiser 17:56, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
- Well there was, but it looks like "someone" changed it. But anyway, I give up. There are too many stupid rules for something that should've been perfectly simple and entirely valid. You really don't want him included for some reason, huh? Fine, I don't care anymore. I was just trying to help. 67.137.178.122 (talk) 15:31, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
- Quentin Tarantino IS applicable here. Just putting that out there, in case anyone rational happens to read this. More applicable that Quality time at any rate. 67.137.178.122 (talk) 14:50, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Health and Medicine
I saw them using "QT" to refer to Long QT syndrome and other related conditions on Second Opinion (TV series) so I'm adding a Health section and entries for long and short QT syndromes. I noticed there's an entry for the cardiac measurement but someone looking for the syndromes would not find it readily through this. I wonder if the cardiac measurement should be used to the new Health section I created now. Also, I used the broader "Health" but should it be "Medicine"? Thanks, still learning. :) jrun (talk) 05:32, 9 March 2013 (UTC) oops 05:39, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
On the QT
"On the QT" (linked from OneLook) redirects to this page, which is a dead end. The redirect should perhaps go to "on the Q.T." in Wiktionary, and really this page should link there too if there's no article here, but I'm not sure of the protocol for linking from one project to another.
