Notability

MrOllie says: "You can't simulteanously claim that he's notable for programs at the IEE and that IEEE sources are independent." IEEE is the largest computing organization, a non-profit, and a neutral, widely respected organization. So I think references to IEEE articles are independent evidence of notability. Plus there are articles from several news media sources.

I find the following sources to be independent: edX, Indianapolis TV station, Amazon science, NSF news story, Inside Indiana Business, ...

Notability (academics)

Dr. Saurabh Bagchi meets the following conditions from WP:NACADEMIC:

  1. His research has a significant impact on the "dependable computing" area. He has the 2nd highest citation in this area according to Google Scholar (8864 as of 06-25-2021).[1]
  2. His contributions to the computing field have been acknowledged by widely respected organizations like IEEE and ACM.[2][3]
  3. He has received important awards, such as the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award. [4] [5]
  4. He has lead major programs in the computing field in leading professional organizations like IEEE.[6]

There are several independent sources as pointed out in my above talk page post. More independent sources have been added since my post. So I am removing the warning about independent sources.
