Shaglyteniz or Shagalalyteniz (Template:Lang-kk; Template:Lang-ru[1][2] is a salt lake in Akkayin and Taiynsha districts, North Kazakhstan Region, Kazakhstan.[3][4]

The villages of Barykol, Kurya, Intaly, Elizavetinka and Kuchkovka lie close to the shore of the lake. Road P-249 runs cose to the northern end of the lake.[5]

Geography

Shaglyteniz lies in the southern part of the Ishim Plain, southwest of the Russian border. It is one of the main lakes of the region.[6] It is an endorheic lake located at the bottom of a depression. Lakes Kadibek and Kishi-Karoy lie to the east.[7][8]

The lake is surrounded by a strip of salt marshes. The Shagalaly river flows into the lake from the south.[5][8]
