Hello! I have edited the submission, removing the "peacock language." I hope this version is more suitable. I had wanted to submit it to you all, Teahouse, or some of the wonderful folks in the Help Space but couldn't find the intermediary "save" mechanism without re-submitting. Headed to Teahouse! Resubmission

I know how busy everyone is: thank you SO much for the alert about style and viewpoint. I believe my recent changes mitigate your concerns, by removing the florid adjectives and adding government-vetted references to size Mr. Powers' contributions. He was a remarkable builder of communities and people, and would have been extremely excited to know this page is in the works. Thank you for all of your help!
