Baraye... (Template:Lang-fa, meaning "For..." or "Because of...") is a 2022 protest inspired song inspired by an uprising of the Iranian population in a rebellion against the current political figures by Shervin Hajipour which has been described as "the anthem" of the Mahsa Amini protests in Iran.[1] The lyrics of the song were derived from tweets on Twitter with the theme "for...",[2][3] with the ballad's lyrics ending in "For women, life, freedom".[1]

Shervin's video of the song, published during the protests that had been ignited by the death of Mahsa Amini (a 22-year-old Iranian woman arrested by the morality police), was viewed nearly 40 million times on his Instagram page alone. It was later removed from his Instagram page and Shervin himself was arrested by security agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran.[3]
