it is interesting the c & m sites - do you think a closer detail map of yarrie/location might help? I think the oz map is just a bit too generic... I really like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yarrie_mine#/media/File:Iron_ore_Pilbara_2.svg for the clarity it has placing the mines on the relevant rail alignments, but I was thinking the info box map might be improved... @JarrahTree: The File:Iron ore Pilbara 2.svg map is absolutely fantastic, it is such a great and useful work. It does need updating, as it is unsurprisingly missing the latest developments:

• FMG's Eliwana mine and 140km of railway that lead to it
• BHP's South Flank mine
• Rio's Gudai-Darri mine (formerly Koodaideri mine) and 180km of rail that lead there
• Atlases Miralga Creek mine and Sanjiv Ridge mine (no rail there, transport by road)
• Potentially a few smaller operations, I'm trying to compile an up-to-date list right now

In regards to the Open Street Map, it too has its purposes as, if the proper links have been made on OSM, the mines show up like they do on Brockman 4 mine. Somebody has to have marked up the mines on OSM in the first place to get there and I'm no good at that but I can create the link to it, that much my skill is good enough for. (a) The family collection of prospectus's for oil and mining companies has been dispersed, but the sample was a brilliant cross section of the prospective operations of the 1950s through to the 1970s - rough range was a great start in the oil collection

@JarrahTree: No, you haven't, according to the German Wikipedia and Wikidata, Dalgarup National Park (no article here) was submerged below the Indian Ocean. Suburb tables

Shouldn't it be "square kilometres" instead of "square kilometre"? I don't know how to change that. Steelkamp (talk) 03:55, 27 November 2022 (UTC)

@Steelkamp: The value and unit are drawn from Wikidata and Wikidata seems to only allow square kilometre as a unit so I don't think it can be changed that way.
