Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Isla Aves has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to User:Vadellcesar. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Doniago (talk) 03:32, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Translation

[edit]

The translation of your contraversial message is grammatically wrong, it should be:
The difficulty of us taking possession of the Falkland Islands in 1833 was so arbitrary... The rest makes sense though. Contact me here if you have any questions (personally I believe the Falklands are part of the UK) Bezuidenhout (talk) 18:11, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Warnings

[edit]

Hello. It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on others' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. See [1], canvassing for help in this way is not acceptable behaviour on wikipedia.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Flag of the Falkland Islands. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful, then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. I suggest you follow the guidelines in WP:BRD. Wee Curry Monster talk 13:25, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that things have solved themselves before I log in, so you don't need my help anymore. If you need something else, just tell me. By the way, here in English Wikipedia we are required to talk among us in English, even when we both have some other original language, in special when we talk about ongoing disputes. Otherwise, a message like this one, where you requested help from someone with higher English fluency (which I'm not sure I really have), may be confused with an attempt to call supporters to a discussion, which is not allowed here the same way it isn't allowed in Spanish Wikipedia. --MBelgrano (talk) 14:00, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
