Formula 1 sponsorship
Lap 1 of the 1980 Monaco Grand Prix - the 2 Candy sponsored Tyrrell cars spectacularly collided.
The Candy sponsored Tyrrell of driver Derek Daly (of Ireland) touched another car, and was sent flying through the air over several other cars and (Murphy's Law) somehow landed on the also Candy sponsored Tyrrell car of team-mate Jean-Pierre Jarier of France who was several places ahead, putting both cars out. A famous F1 accident, notable for the prominent Candy sponsorship featured and the freak nature of how both Candy Tyrell cars were simultaneously eliminated from the race - in fact it is probably the most famous thing about Candy sponsorship in F1.
