Not to revisit my earlier move proposal, but ...

A few months ago I proposed, unsuccessfully, to move this article to "Sticky note". The discussion is at Talk:Post-it note/Archives/2015#Requested move 30 July 2015. I don't wish to revive that discussion, but this edit by an IP user and the subsequent reversion of it by User:Deor reminded me of it.

It's one thing to say that the trademark "Post-it note" is the WP:COMMONNAME for the generic product and that therefore it should be the primary title for an article about it. It's another thing to say that the trademark is the generic product, and I wonder whether Wikipedia could even get sued by 3M for injuring the value of their trademark by defining it as the generic name for the product. I think the IP user (who has made the same change now under two different IP addresses, for what it's worth) is right, except that I think his language is awkward and could stand to be smoothed over so as to be correct while also acknowledging the "Post-it note" is the commonly used term for the whole class of product.

Microspheres

Why isn't the term "microspheres" (or acrylate-copolymer microspheres) mentioned in the text of this article? 173.88.241.33 (talk) 01:32, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
