Fair use rationale for Image:Journalchina06.jpg

[edit]

Image:Journalchina06.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:24, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was amazed to find out that Barkley is a dog and not a Chinese Lion —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.5.94.124 (talk) 04:36, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think he was based on the Chinese Lion Dog or the Ancient version of the Shih Tzu. However he does have curly hairs so I might think he depicts a cross between the Lhasa Apso as well. 202.4.4.25 (talk) 02:29, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Contradiction

[edit]

According to this article, Barkey was introduced in A Special Sesame Street Christmas, played by Toby Towson, with Bruce Connolly taking over in 1992 (following Muehl and Garver). However, according to that article, Barkley was already a regular at the time of the 1978 special, with Towson subbing for Connolly,, and an oversized Barkley costume replacing the usual costume. Which is correct? -- azumanga (talk) 23:42, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Towson was hired, they filmed the Christmas special, then they filmed the television season, season 10. The special aired mid-way through the season, and Connolly took over the puppet for season 11. -- Zanimum (talk) 17:16, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
