The translation department of the Pakistan WikiProject aims to utilize high-quality non-English material related to Pakistan for the goals of the project, as well as provide transliterations for Pakistan-related articles on Wikipedia. This includes both translating articles from and to other-language Wikipedias as well as assisting contributors with non-English sources.

Naming conventions
- Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Indic)
- Punjabi transliterations on Pakistan-related articles must only be in Shahmukhi script (unless in articles where Gurmukhi is also relevant.)
- Sindhi transliterations on Pakistan-related articles are normally conducted in Arabic and Persian script as well as other Perso-Arabic alphabet in the Sindhi language (see Sindhi language#Writing)
- Naskh is the standard script for Pashto
- Seraiki and Kashmiri transliterations are conventionally transliterated in Perso-Arabic script, as is the case with Balochi and Brahui.
