Hello, Please can anyone review my page?

I created a page for the incumbent member representing badagary of lagos, i will love anyone of you to go through the page and check for anything. However, I will need you to help me review the page, in other for the owner to occupy digital presence. Thanks in anticipation! Amalgoni (talk) 22:17, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, Badagry** Amalgoni (talk) 22:18, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Amalgoni:, as a member of Nigerian house of representatives, Oluwaseun Sesi Whingan is definitely notable. My advice for you is to keep things simple. You can start with a stub article. All those talk of him being a philanthropist should be removed or minimized from the lede. You can have a neutrally-written brief on it in subsections. As for notability, I assure you the subject is notable.HandsomeBoy (talk) 10:34, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Credibility bot

As this is a highly active WikiProject, I would like to introduce you to Credibility bot. This is a bot that makes it easier to track source usage across articles through automated reports and alerts. We piloted this approach at Wikipedia:Vaccine safety and we want to offer it to any subject area or domain. We need your support to demonstrate demand for this toolkit. If you have a desire for this functionality, or would like to leave other feedback, please endorse the tool or comment at WP:CREDBOT. Thanks! Harej (talk) 17:55, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much Harej, I will go through your project page soon, and give a support vote/comment if I find the proposed feature useful. But one thing, I'd love a direct reply to is - there a times we see a new editor promoting their website by adding links to multiple Wikipedia pages. Usually, I do my reverts by just going to their contribution page. But sometimes they use multiple Wikipedia accounts and it is difficult for me to know the pages (if not on my watchlist) they visit to add spam links. Does your tool have a way of letting me know where such questionable domains are used as references on Wikipedia? I am sure a number of persons associated with this WikiProject will share similar views and have had such experiences. It will be helpful if such as feature was available. HandsomeBoy (talk) 19:51, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@HandsomeBoy: That's the basic idea, that once a domain is determined to be unreliable, you will be able to track its usage in articles. Although the bot is still under development, being able to define these domains is a development goal. Harej (talk) 17:30, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Amegbu Ogwa Proposed for Deletion

The article Amegbu Ogwa has been proposed for deletion as it cites no sources and Wikipedians could not find a source on the internet. If anyone is able to find sources supporting the notability of this village, it would be great if they could add them to the article. Otherwise, the article will likely be deleted tomorrow. Thanks, -- Lenny Marks (talk) 16:34, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have reasons to believe "Amegbu Ogwa" is the same as "Amaebu Ogwa". Once this is validated, there are sources that at least mentions the town.HandsomeBoy (talk) 00:41, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Green's 5th Edit-a-thon

Hello WikiProject Nigeria:

WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in October 2023!

Running from October 1 to 31, 2023, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.

We hope to see you there!
