Untitled

He looks like a distant relative of Tim Allen. Jigen III 05:27, 30 March 2007 (UTC) Yes he does. It's eerie. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.117.34.126 (talk) 17:06, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Golden Globe

According to the article he won a Golden Globe award, but according to imdb: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000459/awards he won 2 awards:
Best Motion Picture Actor in a Supporting Role
New Star of the Year in a Motion Picture - Male
Would anyone like to fix this? Thanks Kvsh5 (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 21:11, 20 November 2008 (UTC).[reply]

Middle name: "Tarquin"

Is there a reliable source for this middle name? It was added here in 2007 by an anon user. The California Birth Index lists only a "T.", so it's no help. The only other mentions I can find of "Tarquin" online are on various Wikipedia or IMDB clones, and IMDB isn't a reliable source for birth info (or for anything except credits - see Wikipedia:Citing IMDb, not a policy but a good cover of this topic). I can't find any mentions of "Tarquin" in any of the reference books on Google Books, or in any old articles in the Google News newspaper archives. protect?

he was just accused of rape... probably going to be lots of visitors. Muglerangel (talk) 00:25, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Anybody thinks it should be mentioned that it lost him his role as "Nate" and 3 million USD as reported here: https://deadline.com/2022/02/timothy-hutton-sues-leverage-producers-reboot-1234961775/ ? And why is that listed under "Personal Life" while it obviously had significant consequences for his professional life as well ? JB. --212.202.55.72 (talk) 03:47, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

WP:BOLD on Allegations

I am exercising WP:BOLD to remove what is my strong belief that the allegations as they currently are in terms of reliable multiple third-party sources are not sufficient to warrant a display on the article. I am going here in Presumption in favor of privacy from Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons which states that "If an allegation or incident is noteworthy, relevant, and well documented, it belongs in the article—even if it is negative and the subject dislikes all mention of it. If you cannot find multiple reliable third-party sources documenting the allegation or incident, leave it out.", as well as "Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced and not related to making content choices should be removed, deleted, or oversighted, as appropriate.".

There has been no original coverage of said allegations other than from BuzzFeed News, which admittedly is generally consistent according to Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Perennial_sources, even if some would still assume their leftwing connections and bias as per BuzzFeed. All other sources are not exactly news sites or trustworthy and highly consistent, and are sources that deal with entertainment, not factual reporting or news. Entertainment Weekly, for example, had simply copied a large bunk of BuzzFeed News's original article and did little to no original reporting. These should not substitute the requirement for multiple reliable third-party sources and we should err on the side of caution. Charmanderblue (talk) 06:48, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Timothy Hutton Was Not The Youngest Person To Win The Best Supporting Actor Oscar

Timothy Hutton was not the youngest person to earn a best supporting actor academy award when he won it at age 19 in 1980 for “ Ordinary People”. Tatum O’Neal was the youngest person to do so when at age 10 she won the best supporting actor award in 1973 for “ Paper Moon”. 2600:1700:B350:3680:18CA:D628:9778:D9E8 (talk) 04:31, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't the appropriate cell in the notes column be shaded green to reflect his Academy Award? Gprobins (talk) 01:47, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
