Dinesh Phadnis (2 November 1966 – 5 December 2024) was an Indian television actor. He was better known for playing the character of Frederick[1] in one of the longest running TV shows, C.I.D.[2]

Apart from working as an Inspector in this television series, he also wrote some of the episodes of C.I.D. He also appeared in the Bollywood film Sarfarosh and Super 30. He also wrote for a Marathi film. He lived in Shantivan, Borivali East.[3]

Phadnis died after suffering from liver damage on 5 December 2024, aged 57.[4][5]
